4th of July

This year I rounded out my significant USA days with the celebrations of July 4, Independence Day.
Before the day one must fortify oneself with cake, and maybe a little more cake.

and fireworks

and then off to the parade along with most of the city's population. The parade was similar to ones at  home,
with of course and American touch.

The lead was the fire engine that had us all in tears.

Just realised that the date on the camera is wrong!!!! Americans of course would say totally wrong, but I am sticking to our sensible, day, month, year format :-)
