Saturday Adventures

The next morning, Sat 11, after breakfast,

we took a bit of a tour of the streets of San Francisco, the roller coaster ones, the S bend ones and the ones where, on the map we were heading the right way, only to suddenly end up going the other way

Finally made it to the Haight Ashbury area, great shops. We went into a thrift store. Part of my zann plan was to only take enough light clothes for the California leg of the trip and buy warm winter stuff the cheapest way possible and leave most of it here. Tried on a jacket, turned out to be a man's but warm and with a hood and all, bought it and Coz found a great little purple one that looked great on her, as does everything. Unfortunately it seems I left Lolli there, I like to think she ran off to have fabulous advenures of her own and hope she doesn't get into trouble for being an illegal immigrant.

The we left SF oner the Bay Bridge and headed for Sacramento, or just outside it.

The Bay Bridge

Leaving SF and going somewhere!

Rob and the rest of the Flagstaff family were already there as there was a family wedding that evening that I had been graciously invited to. It was held in the beautiful garden of Rob's grandmother but I didn't take any photo's there, 'cause it didn't seem right. The reception was in a huge marquee set up on the front lawn, hidden from the road. Lovely people and a lovely time.

  1. Oh noes Lolli!! Lost after a week -- well, she's not the only cool cat to lose her way on Haight Ashbury, that's for sure.

    Vale, Lolli.
