Last week it was still warm enough for Rob to work on the balcony, I was reading out there as well and just had to take photos of the dogs waiting for Rob to finish being boring and get to his real job-playing with them. The blue is Darwin, the brown lab was visiting, belongs to Rob's parents and Tassie is the tiny stray foster pup, who didn't take long to fit right in. Now there is also Roo, the red cattle dog who is the new member of the family, so now those three play the waiting game. Not sure what cross Darwin and Roo are but have very long legs, not stumpy at all.

On Monday 3, Coz and I went to Sedona
Sedona (pronounced /sɨˈdoʊnə/) is a city and community that straddles the county line between Coconino and Yavapai counties in the northern Verde Valley region of the U.S. state of Arizona. According to 2005 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 11,220.[2]
Sedona's main attraction is its stunning array of red sandstone formations, the Red Rocks of Sedona. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The Red Rocks form a breathtaking backdrop for everything from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails.
Sedona is named after Sedona Miller Schnebly (1877–1950), the wife of the city's first postmaster, who was celebrated for her hospitality and industriousness.

Went via Oak Creek Canyon area, there was a Native American jewellery market set up at the lookout point, if anyone out there has a lazy few thousand to put towards my jewellery buying fund it would be gratefully received :-), failing that bought two lovely rings.
Some info here (http://www.suicidalsquirrels.net/oak-creek-canyon.html)
Drove down into the Canyon, spectacular, not much water in river, lots of resorts, be a great spot to holiday.
Sedona is amazing, set among the red rocks, a very touristy town, lots of shopping and heaps of tours, take a pink jeep, a hummer, all sorts, we didn't do any but would be interesting, get to see mountains close up.
A lot of westernmovies were shot here in late 40's early 50's
Had a very nice duck salad for lunch.

Coming home it was interesting to see how the red rocks abruptly give way to other mountains, on the Mogollon Rim, I thought this one looked a bit like our Airly, but in the rear view mirror was the red sandstone.
