After a late start we left Las Vegas and headed for Flagstaff via Hoover Dam, stopped to have a look and decided to do the Generator Tour, had an overview of construction then down a long way in elevator to Generator room, we were on the Nevada side and there is the same thing on the Arizona side. tour of information area and the great bronze winged gods outside. Excellent.




Then on we went, joined Highway 40 at Kingman, now in Coz's mobile clinic country. Had lunch at the Road Kill cafe at Seligman, now on part of Route 66. Lot of flat country, looked like mining in hills, scattered townlets, and lots of for sale signs on bare blocks of land along highway, we were trying to imagine why one would want to live there and how would manage for water.

The house is lovely, have not fallen down steps yet, the family is lovely, the climate is lovely.
